Pinay:
A woman of Filipino descent; a Filipina
Appétit:
A phrase meaning "good appetite," said to someone who is about to eat, meaning "I hope you enjoy your food"
Pinay Appétit was born out of a desire to bring joy to others through food and to share the culture with people who know and love it, as well as those who have never experienced it. Food is a huge part of any Filipino gathering (in addition to the karaoke!) and we're honored that you are considering bringing Pinay Appétit in to the mix.
Cindy was born and raised in the Phillippines. She learned to cook from her grandmother, aunt, and mother and grew up in a large family, so cooking and feeding people comes naturally. A perfectionist who is dedicated to cleanliness, presentation, and taste, your food will never be rushed merely for the sake of time. Nearly everything you taste from our menu comes from the family recipe of Cindy's heritage.
David was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. His work experience in a variety of fields prepared him for the different tasks and hats he wears at Pinay Appétit. He enjoys talking to people and is usually the person you will be in communication with when contacting us (unless you speak Tagalog!)
David and Cindy met in 2008 and dated until they married in 2018. The skills and talents they bring to the table (your dinner table) make a perfect pairing for bringing a taste of the Philippines to the United States, and ultimately to you, to enjoy!
